A PROUD AMERICAN

A PROUD AMERICAN

In this great country that I live,  I am thankful for those who give,  of thier service and thier time,  to make sweet freedom mine.  I have never known the perils of war,  or lost soldiers I adore, for my families fought years ago,  for the freedom I now know. I heard the stories in my youth, in these years I know the truth.  War is sad on every hand, both sides lose thier fellow man,  but I'm glad to tell the world,  that I'm a proud American Girl.

As I look upon my Daughters face, I feel we're blessed by God's own grace,  for soldiers are dying everyday , so that our freedom will not pass away.  We can question the war that's far from home,  is it right or is it wrong? But freedom is a gift to man, bought by blood on every hand. although it's fought on foreingn sod, I believe it's governed still by God. For if we let terror go unchecked my friend, rest assured that freedom here will end.  I thank God for those who take a stand, who fight for me on distant land.

A Proud American is here to say,  that I lift my soldiers UP each time I pray.  So though you may fight on Foriegn sod,  I've placed your life in the hands of GOD.

GOD BLESS YOU EVERY ONE.

MOTHERS

MOTHERS

Mothers are the backbone of the world.  We have read about the mothers of old who stayed on thier hands and knees in prayer for a wayward child.

We have heard about the Mothers of old who would walk the floors,  and stay up all night long to cool the fevered brow of a sick child.  We have heard about the mothers who gave thier lives in the days before medicine,  as they helped thier neighbors, during  scarlet fever, typhoid, and many uncurable diseases.

We have heard about the mothers who watched thier children go off to fight each other in the war of the North and South, Praying that each side would be protected,  because she could not choose one to be a victor...because she would loose one in the fight.

We have heard about all the great mothers of the past...but tell me what news do we see of the mothers of old today.  Very few Mothers even pray anymore,  the world has taken thier time with jobs, and places to go and people to see,  and things of this world.  Now the news we hear about mothers goes something like this

Mother straps 2 young boys in car and drives them into lake.

Mother drowns her children in bathtub.

Mother hides children's bodies in couch.

Mother is suspect in little Caylee Antony's death.

Mother  from church kills neighbor girl who was missing.

Mothers abort children one every 15 seconds.

WHAT IS WRONG TODAY?

Is this how God intended Mothers to be?  Motherhood is a gift.  I have met so many good women in my life who would have made great mothers but could not be.  I felt angry everytime something happened to a child,  when I thought about those who can not have children...it just doesn't seem fair.

What kind of Mother am I?

I hope that I leave this world with my child knowing that I gave her the best of what I could give her although she did not have "THE BEST" of everything.  I hope that she remembers the times I have told her that  when she has problems she can go to God in prayer.  I hope that she has heard me in the late hours of the night lift her up in prayer to God.  I hope that she will be proud of the Mother she had when I am gone from this world.  I mostly hope that the lessons I have taught her about living she will try to uphold in her own children,  and I hope I've taught her to pray.
