A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Welcome to the daily news section.   I hope to be updating this regularly with news from all my friends who e-mail me.  Think of it as a Christian Gossip page...ONLY without all the BAD content.

  These pages may change Quickly but you'll be able to view them in my archives,  so don't worry you won't miss anything.  I hope that this will be a good place for you to unwind from your day.  I will also let you know  where to look for other news.

Where Were You Today?

It is Sunday Night and I can't help but wonder where you were today.  I sure hope you spent some time with God  sometime within your day. I started my day with morning service at my  church. What a way to start your day...with all the fellowship you can find at a good church. Smiling faces,  and kind words always make for a GOOD DAY for me.  The lesson today touched me because it reminded me that we need to RENEW our walk with God on a regular basis.  I love God with all of my heart,  but sometimes in our messed up days we fail to obtain all that God has for our lives because we fail to get down on our knees and humble ourselves before him.  I stood there for a while thinking that I had no need to go to the altar for prayer.  I kept telling myself that my life was already right with God.  But then I realized that it had been a long time since I had used an altar to speak with my Lord.  I knew then that I wanted to thank him for all of my blessings,  but that I also wanted to show him that I was willing to renew my walk with him and have him place within my heart a new fire.  I prayed for : A desire to be a better Wife, a better Mother, a better Friend,  a better Witness, a better CHRISTIAN in general.  We become cold and indifferent in our lives sometimes and I am no exception.  It felt GOOD to talk to my Father down on my knees. I had forgotten that the altar, ( although it is thought of as a place where you FIND God,)  is also  a place where you MEET God heart to heart and let him know that he is the most important thing in your life.

If you have never been on your knees before God asking him to forgive your sins and come into your life to live TODAY is the day.  You have no promise of tomorrow,  in one blink of an eye you can wake up in eternity.  If you have not made your life right with God then you will open your eyes in a place of everlasting torment,  a place called HELL.  I know that people have forgotten to talk about HELL, some people believe there is NO SUCH PLACE as Hell,  But the word of GOD is the same yesterday, today,  and tomorrow.  The book called the BIBLE speaks of a place called Hell.  So know this my friend, you will spend eternity somewhere.  When I open my eyes I want to see GOD.

In the evening I went to another family church.  I enjoyed smiling faces of old friends.It was amazing how my pastor here spoke of almost the same thing as the pastor where I had attended church earier in the day.  That proved even more to me that if you let God rule a service it will be just what he wants it to be. In the churches today MAN sets the ideas of the church,  the order in which things will be done,  and the spirit of God feels trapped and sometimes it doesn't show up at all.  That is why we have dead churches starving the souls of thier members. Preachers are affraid to offend a member of the church so they walk on egg shells.

I know a preacher who was asked his views on certain subjects and I hope you will be as amazed as I was about his answers.  This is why the world has gotten so far out of hand.

How do you feel about abortion?  "well, I really don't have an opinion on that matter.  It is argued all the time,  and no body has an answer."

What do you think about the trouble that is happening and the news coming out about the abuse within the Catholic Church?  "Well, what can we really say about that?  It's a bad thing."

How do you feel about GAYS and Lesbians in the pulpit?  " Well, we are not at liberty to judge.  I have met some really nice Gay ministers,  and they seem to love the LORD.  They feel that God created them that way since birth.  So you can't really blame them."

I turned off the tv.  I couldn't stand it anymore.  THIS MAN is the shepard to well over 3ooo members and his speaking engagements they say is sold out in just a few hours and can have double-digit thousands in attendence.  A mighty powerful man. He stated that it is more important to share with people what God can do in thier lives,  than to try to explain what goes on in the world.  He said " GOD is a loving God who has so many great promises for his people.  He wants them to prosper so that they can Glorify his name.  He even went as far as to say that God doesn't want to see anybody poor,  because they would not have reason to celebrate thier life.  He said his motto for living is and always will be to teach the world of God's Love and kindness.

What is happening in our world today people?  MAN is worried about losing members of thier church for speaking the truth.  Our pastor tonight brought up the same thing.  We do not take a stand for anything these days.

 MAN is unwilling to step on toes...because he is afraid some feet will walk out the door...of course not without taking thier wallet or pocketbook.  Messages from the pulpit today is like children being lead into a candy store.  The pastors  sugar coat everything they say so that it will be appealing to it's members.  They are afraid to give thier member the real MEAT of the WORD of God.  Well, let's look at it this way...  when you have to go to the denist of life you can blame it all on your pastor,  because he is suppose to be responsible for what he feeds his sheep. 

If you are in a church that tells you everything you do in life is RIGHT  because you have RIGHTS...you had better take stock of the situation because I am one lady who is not afraid to say  YOUR pastor is leading you straight into HELL. The things that were WRONG when GOD said they were WRONG  is STILL WRONG Today.  It doesn't matter if the world's way of thinking says if it feels good DO IT,  or if the world's way of thinking says we have the RIGHT to live however we CHOOSE.  None of this matters when you stand before God who says "Depart from me for I know you not,  you workers of iniquity"  You can not and never will be able to live your life the WAY you want to...it's GOD'S WAY or the highway ( the highway to HELL my friend.)

It is my prayer for the day that if you are not in a church that teaches Right from Wrong,  Good from Bad, Heaven and Hell,  that you will feel a stirring this week  of fear in your heart that maybe you need to learn more about a TRUE and Loving God  who has STANDARDS for living . STANDARDS ... the first part of the word is STAND.  Take a STAND for something in your life.

If you are a Christian I challenge you this week to bow before God on your knees and ask for a stronger walk with him.  If you just go through the motions of life on a daily basis  I pray that a FIRE will be placed down in your soul this week to renew that feeling inside you that you felt when you first felt the tug at your heart's door. The Sounds Of Joy do a song and I heard it for the first time Saturday night  it said I hope someone's SOUL catches on FIRE.  AMEN to that.

 What a time I had tonight.  It is 1:45am and I was just too excited to sleep.  If you do not check out my schedule of events often then you will miss out on some GOOD TIMES.  If you did not attend the Gospel Sing at THE HOUSE OF GOD in Ocala (Williston area) you missed out on a blessing indeed.

My  Goodness what a time in the Lord was had behind those church doors.  It was like a little taste of Heaven Right here on earth.

Every Race, Creed, Color,  and Religion was represented tonight.  It was just like it will be in Heaven.  One big happy  family.  God don't see no color,  and he don't care what kind of clothes you wear,  what he cares about is HIS PEOPLE...ALL PEOPLE Praising his name.  There was no lack of spirit in this place tonight.

The Evening started out with a group I have recently come to know and they are such a blessing.  Larry and Jennifer Daniels ( A Father/Daughter Duo) are known as  GloryBound . They had everyone up on thier feet singing along with the old time great hymns of long ago.  You know ALL music is GOOD music when it is Gospel,  but the music that makes me feel like I'm in one of my West Virginia old-time country churches are the old standard hymns I grew up with as a child.

I was blessed to hear for the first time NEW DAY.  What a lovely group of people.  They sure know who they sing about.  You can feel thier love for God in the music they sing. I look forward to hearing more from this group of singers.

There was no lack of clap your hands and stomp your feet and shake your tamborines for another new group for me to hear.  They had the crowd  up on thier feet when they sang  and you couldn't set still if you wanted to. The spirit of the Lord WAS IN THE HOUSE.  They are known as Little Johnnie and the New Gospel Wonders.   It ain't no wonder I felt so close to Heaven tonight,  you can't beat a good Gospel Sing to get my heart beatin.

HEY LARRY...LIKE I said you can't keep a good man down...and boy was everyone glad to see you up and about (Doing your Father's Business) being a blessing to all those around you.  The sounds of Joy have had a lot of hard times but they keep right on Praising the Lord through it all.   When you're going through the rough times it just means you're doing something RIGHT...Satan hates a cheerful Singer as much as God loves a cheerful giver. And on that note I'd like to say that we'd like to thank House Of God for hosting this great event.  It was my understanding that this was a first...but that it won't be the last.  As Bob sang his song (Now one of my favorites ) it summed up this night perfectly.

WATCH THIS!  *I can see this event becoming something No one will want to miss.  God ain't done with this thing yet.

What an amazing group of young ladies I had the opportunity to watch tonight,  Young girls celebrating thier love for God in Dance.  In the Bible those who recieved Jesus'  Miracles LEPT with JOY.  Through-out the bible people praised God in song,  but they also honored him in dance. A lot of people may not have understood this new kind of praise but we can thank God these young girls want to serve the Lord in this unique way.  I was mesmerised by the message of the Love of God they portrayed.   Pastor Earl Young and Sister Deborah Dennard have a reason to be proud of this dance troupe.  They did a fantastic job.  I'd like to take this opportunity to Thank  Saint City Church Of God Dance Ministry.  Everyone should get to watch these young kids in action for the LORD.

The final group to BLESS the evening was The Gospel Echoes.  This group of musicians and singers had us right back on our feet again praising the LORD.  What a group of singers.  You couldn't go to sleep if you wanted too,  they just gave you a boost of newfound energy with thier energetic style of music. I'm in bed by 9:00 tired from my day...but I was wide awake when they shared thier love for God in song.  I had the time of my life tonight....and I can hardly wait to do it all over again.

On a sad note,  I did not get to get details and I apologize if this news is wrong ( If someone knows different please e-mail Me asap)  but it was my understanding that the other group scheduled to attend was unable too,  due to a death in the family.  If I heard correctly know that our prayers are with you and yours.  I believe that it was the group Inspirational Daughters of Joy.

Sometimes I'm Surprised

SATAN I MEAN BUSINESS

You know I heard a preacher one time say how he imagines Satan as a bug beneath his feet and how when the devil comes around trying to cause trouble he just closes his eyes and pictures squashing him like a bug.

Well,  Being from WVa,  when we wanted to get a point across to someone we did it the old fashioned way.  So I thought since a picture is worth a thousand words I might send SATAN a picture of how I feel today.  If he bothers me today he'll find himself in big trouble...because I've pulled out the big guns....PRAYER.

ARE YOU HOLDING ON?

I have those kinds of days all the time.  But you know what I have discovered.

  I have GLUE. YEP,  you heard me I have GLUE.  Don't you know that frogs (some of them anyway) have a substance on thier feet that will suction cup them anywhere.  One day when my little girl was younger I went out to my car to take her to school and there was a frog on my windshield.  I thought I would scare it away so I wouldn't hurt it.  Didn't work.  So I got something to shoooo it with.  Didn't work.  Finally I said I'll just pick him up.  Easier said than  done.  That little frog had some kind of stuff on his feet that held him to my windshield.  Well that day I learned a little about determination...NOT MINE I mind you...BUT his.  I forgot all about this until today,  when I was looking for graphics for my webpage and saw this frog hanging onto a pipe.  Today God made me think for a minute and then he said write.

My thought today would be GLUE.

If we were more like frogs we would know how to hang on.  So I got to thinking about it and I think I know how to HANG ON.  You see,  we as Christians have our own kind of glue that we can use to hang on.  If we think about  "FAITH" as our GLUE for everyday life we will better understand just how to hang on.  If something comes your way to try to knock you off your pipe use your suction cup of faith.  It will be the only thing you need to help you hold on.  Think of "FAITH" as that sticky substance on your feet that holds you firm just where you are.  SO hold on when things come at you and believe in faith that tomorrow holds a brighter day.

I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT

Working on my webpages brings me much joy.  I love the fact that I can maybe brighten someone's day,  or share a moment in time with them to let them know that trials are gonna come our way...BUT GOD is GONNA MAKE A WAY.  I have been through a lot of changes in my life...some good,  some bad...but All...a part of God's plan for my life. I have turned all my life's heartaches, disappointments, and tears,  into a book about how GOD TURNED my TEARS into LAUGHTER,  my SORROW into JOY,  and my BATTLES into VICTORIES. I have entitled this book:

        INCREDIBLE BLESSINGS in an INSIGNIFICANT LIFE,

  THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A NOBODY

It will be available online.  I will post ALL the details when I have them.  I sure hope that you will tell all your friends about it .  If you enjoy my webpages then you can find more of the same things in my book.  It is NOT about how MANY BOOKS I can sell,  It's all about how many life's I can change.  If One person can be uplifted by ONE page in my book...then I will have succeeded in honoring the man who inspired it...GOD.  That is all that matters to me.
